erik lindeborg
born 1984.
musician, developer, artist and researcher from tyresö, south of stockholm.
i have been playing piano since i was able to reach it, and studied piano for fifteen years.
in 2008 i released my debut album with erik lindeborg trio on stockholm jazz records. since then, i have made four albums and a concert dvd with original music, and many more as piano player, producer and recording engineer.
i have had the great fortune to be able to travel to different countries, playing with ikiz, fredrik norén band, kristian brink quartet and others. i have made music in the hot texas summer, in the mountains of ecuador, in mumbai, istanbul and even at small’s in nyc.
in 2011, i moved to barcelona, where i met diana butucariu. together we have built a music studio, started a record label and produced videos.
we have also created a number of exhibitions and collaborative projects exploring the intersections of art, craft and sound.
since 2022 i live on a farm in the swedish countryside.
my current artistic focus is research into sound ecology, collective improvisation and sustainability.
